One person is dead after a car crashed into a tree near a golf club in Stouffville on Thursday morning.
York Regional Police said they received a call about a single motor vehicle collision at approximately 6 a.m.
According to police, the collision occurred in a residential area near the Ballantrae Golf Club. Police said the car may have been travelling at high speed as it approached a roundabout. The car, police say, became engulfed in flames.
York Regional Police and the coroner are now investigating.
