Subway service is suspended along a nine-station stretch of Line 1 this weekend due to scheduled track work.

The closure from Osgoode to Bloor-Yonge stations will remain in effect until 6 a.m. Monday.

During the closure, shuttle buses will be operating along most of the affected route, however they will not be servicing Union Station.

The TTC is advising Torontonians attending Blue Jays games at the Rogers Centre of World Cup of Hockey games at the Air Canada Centre to consider taking the Spadina streetcar, which will have extra service, or using the Lakeshore East or West GO lines to get to Union Station.

This weekend's subway closure is just the latest in a series of maintenance-related closures. The next major one will see service suspended between Wilson and Downsview stations Oct. 7-10.
