A missing nine-year-old boy has been found in the water at Wasaga Beach and is being transported to hospital.
OPP say the boy was found more than 100 metres away from the shore. Police have not released details on his condition.
The boy went missing just before 4 p.m. and was last seen near the water by Kirby Lane, said OPP Const. Mark Kinney.
A family member alerted police after noticing the boy was missing.
An OPP helicopter as well as teams from the marine unit and the fire department were called in to assist officers with the search.
