Toronto police have released a composite sketch of a suspect believed to be involved in a pair of assaults at a park near the Don Valley Parkway.

Officers said the assaults took place in the Brookbanks Park area, near the DVP and York Mills Road, on Monday afternoon.

In the first instance, a man approached a 33-year-old woman from behind, assaulted her and then fled the area, police said.

Half an hour later, at 2 p.m., a man matching the same description assaulted a 20-year-old in the same area. The woman escaped and ran away.

As a result of the reports, police are warning the public to be vigilant in the area from Valley Woods Drive and York Mills to Parkwoods Village Drive and Cassandra Boulevard.

They said a man matching the suspect's description was seen again in the area on Wednesday.

The suspect has been described as a black man in his 20s, who is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-9 with a skinny build.

On Wednesday, he was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, green or grey pants and running shoes. He was also wearing a fitted black ski mask and black aviator sunglasses.

Anyone who sees the suspect or has more information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3300, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
