A man is in hospital in critical but stable condition after a stabbing in a Tim Hortons parking lot in Brampton.

Police say they found a 26-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times when they arrived at the Tim Hortons parking lot at Shoppers World in Brampton around 10:10 p.m.

The man was taken to a local hospital but was later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in critical but stable condition, Peel police say.

Investigators say they are searching for three suspects.

The first suspect is described as male, black, 20 to 25 years old, with short black hair, wearing a white shirt, black sweater, black pants and white shoes.

The second suspect is described as female, black, 18 to 22 years old, with long black hair, wearing a grey sweater and grey pants.

The third suspect is described as female, black, 18 to 22 years old, with long black hair, wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt.
