Subway service was temporarily suspended on a portion of the Yonge line Monday afternoon, after a man in a motorized wheelchair fell onto the tracks at College Station.

Toronto Paramedics received the call around 2:50 p.m. Service between Bloor and Union stations was halted as paramedics worked to rescue the man at track level.

The man suffered a fracture, and was taken to hospital.

Regular service resumed between Union and Bloor stations around 3:30 p.m.
