A man believed to be in his 20’s has been taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries following a shooting in the city’s west end on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to Laura Road in the area of Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue at around 3 p.m. for reports of sounds of gunshots.
According to investigators, the male victim had multiple wounds as a result of the shooting.
No description of any suspects has been provided but police say a white SUV was possibly involved in the incident.
Police are advising people to avoid the area as Laura Road is closed from Lomar Drive to Stanley Road due to the investigation.
