TORONTO - A Toronto man faces charges after a single-vehicle collision that sent a woman and a toddler to hospital.

Police say a car travelling at high speed on a ramp from the Don Valley Parkway to Bloor Street lost control and hit a guard rail Sunday morning.

A 35-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries when they were thrown from the car.

The driver, Jeffrey Igbiyiomo, 26, is charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm, impaired driving causing bodily harm and having a blood-alcohol level over .08 causing bodily harm.

He had a court date today.
