A 28-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in North York over the weekend.

According to police, just after midnight on Friday, a 20-year-old woman was walking near Dufferin Street and Wilson Avenue when she was approached by a man.

The woman told police she was physically pulled into a laneway located behind a building where she was sexually assaulted.

The man then fled the scene but was arrested sometime later.

Samsuldeen Ajimotokan, of Toronto, has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
