Toronto police are searching for a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with a knife assault in the city’s west end on Sunday.
It happened shortly after midnight on Sunday at a residence in the area of St. Clair Avenue West and Runnymede Road.
Police said a man unlawfully entered a home in the area and attacked a 51-year-old man with a knife.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault.
The suspect fled the area immediately following the incident.
Police said they are searching for a suspect identified as 23-year-old Brandon Smyth. He is described as six-foot-two with a slim build and short blonde hair styled in a buzz-cut.
He is currently wanted by police for several charges including assault with a weapon, uttering death threats, two counts of breach of probation and mischief under $5,000.
