Police are investigating after gunfire erupted in the city’s west end Saturday, injuring four men.

Shots were first reported shortly after 8 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue West and Keele Street.

Two victims were located near the scene with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their legs, police said, and paramedics transported them to a trauma centre.

Two suspects were seen fleeing the area on foot. Police described them as black males wearing black clothing.

Two men entered a North York hospital at Keele Street and Wilson Avenue with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds approximately 25 minutes after the shooting.

Police could not initially say whether these men were involved in the same shooting. However, investigators confirmed on Sunday afternoon that all four men were injured during the same incident.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police continue to investigate.
