A woman is dead after her vehicle crashed in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403 in Burlington early Wednesday morning.
Provincial police said she was travelling west along the 403 between Highway 407 and Waterdown Road in Burlington when she lost control of her vehicle.
The car crossed into the eastbound lanes and rolled over. The driver was ejected from the car, then hit by another vehicle. The second vehicle ended up in the ditch.
As a result of the crash, the eastbound lanes were closed at Waterdown for several hours. They reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
