Subway service on the Yonge line between Eglinton and Bloor stations has been shut down this weekend, while the TTC conducts signal light and track work.

Shuttle buses are operating between the four stations on Saturday and Sunday, with TTC staff also on-hand to help direct transit users.

Davisville, St. Clair and Rosedale stations remain open for commuters travelling on connecting surface routes, but Summerhill station is closed.

Wheel-Trans buses are also available to accommodate commuters who use mobility aids.

The planned repair work is part of a larger TTC operation to modernize the signal system, track, and switches on the 60-year-old portion of the Yonge-University-Spadina line.

Meanwhile, other events, including Canada's Walk of Fame ceremony and the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, mean drivers heading downtown may need to plan alternate routes over the weekend.
