Hamilton police are investigating their first homicide of 2014 after a 23-year-old man was shot dead early Wednesday morning.
Officers found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head in the Sherman Avenue North and Barton Street East area at around 4:45 a.m.
The man was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police say they are looking to speak with anyone who was at a house party on Sherman avenue North, where the man is believed to have been attendance just prior to the shooting.
