Five men have been charged following a shooting at a banquet hall in Aurora over the weekend.
Police say that on Friday, July 1 shortly after 10 p.m., officers were called to DiNardo’s Mansion -- a banquet hall in the area of Industrial Parkway South near Vandorf Sideroad -- for a report of a shooting.
Investigators allege that a fight broke out between several individuals at the event and gunfire was exchanged.
A total of four people – three women and one man – suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result.
The victims are expected to recover.
According to police, the suspects fled the scene in a white Porsche which was later located by officers and members of the York Regional Police Air Support Unit.
Two suspects, identified as Raymond Powell, 29, and Adrian Pascal, 28, both of Toronto, were arrested that night.
They both faces charges of aggravated assault and failure to comply with recognizance.
Three other suspects, identified as Jason Beharry, 24, of Oshawa, 20-year-old Toronto resident Devin Degoias, and 30-year-old Whitchurch-Stouffville resident Jason Maragh are each facing an aggravated assault charge.
On Saturday, police released a surveillance camera image of a man they say “may have info” about the shooting.
Investigators say they are still interested in speaking to the man in the surveillance camera image but do not consider him a suspect.
