A personal support worker is facing charges after a teen girl reported that she was sexually assaulted at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
The 17-year-old girl told police she was volunteering at the hospital on June 1 when she was sexually assaulted by a man employed there.
On Thursday, York Regional Police arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with the case.
A suspect identified as Richmond Hill resident Ali Taheri has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
Police say Taheri worked with vulnerable patients while at the hospital and urge anyone who has new information about the investigation to call police or Crime Stoppers.
