A 19-year-old man was shot near an Agincourt bus stop Tuesday afternoon, forcing schools in the area to be placed under hold and secure as police scoured the area for a suspect.

The shots were heard just after 1:30 p.m. in the Midland Avenue and Baylawn Drive area, according to Toronto police.

Multiple people were seen running through a school yard afterward.

Officers searched the area around a bus stop on the northwest corner of Midland Avenue and Baylawn Drive.

A male victim was located by police a short time later. He suffered from a gunshot wound, but police said the injuries were non-life-threatening.

Officers are still searching for those involved in the shooting.

The following schools in the area were placed under hold and secure: Monsignor Fraser College, Henry Kelsey Senior Public School, Francis Lieberman Catholic High School and Albert Campbell Collegiate Institute. However, those orders were lifted shortly after 3 p.m

Investigators previously said that several people were seen running through the schoolyard at Monsignor Fraser College following the shooting.
