TORONTO - One of three men aboard a single-engine Cessna that crashed into a farmer's field near Shelburne, Ont., northwest of Orangeville, has died.

Twenty-two-year-old Matthew Jacob was riding as a passenger in the plane, which went down early on the morning of Sept. 1.

Police say he died in a Toronto hospital on Friday.

The pilot was also seriously injured in the crash, while a second passenger was released from hospital last week.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old man was killed Sunday when the ultralight plane he was in crashed near Caledon, Ont.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is continuing its investigation into both incidents.
