A two-year-old boy has been located after the vehicle he was inside was stolen in Brampton Friday night, Peel police have confirmed.

According to police, the child was found at the side of the road in the Highway 410 and Steeles Avenue area.

The child, who was said to be in good health, has since been reunited with his family, police said.

He was spotted by someone driving in the area.

In a series of tweets sent out Friday night, police said they were looking for the public’s help in tracking down the vehicle the child was inside when it was stolen from a plaza in the Kennedy Road and Queen Street area sometime after 9:30 p.m.

The child was left unattended inside the running sport utility vehicle by his mother and father who had gone into a laundromat in the plaza, police said.

It was described by police as a black Mazda CX7 with the Ontario plate BYBP371.

The vehicle has not yet been located, investigators said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
