A 39-year-old woman is facing charges stemming from a drug raid Lindsay last week during which gunfire erupted, leaving one man dead and a Peterborough officer with gunshot wounds.

In a new statement released Monday, Kawartha Lakes police also reported that the raid resulted in the seizure of 3.5 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, more than $1,300 in cash and a 2006 Chrysler.

On June 22, Peterborough-Lakefield Police Const. Keith Calderwood took part in a late-morning raid on a suspected crack house in the community located about 130 kilometres northeast of Toronto.

Gunfire broke out during the operation, which involved officers from the Kawartha Lakes police and Peterborough-Lakefield.

Const. Calderwood was shot in the leg and chest. He was transported by air ambulance to St. Michael's in Toronto. The hospital released Calderwood this weekend. He is now resting at home.

The gunplay left one suspect dead. Four others were released without charge pending further investigation, while one woman was charged with breach of recognizance.

Jennifer Nicholson, of Bowmanville, Ont. faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of stolen property.

No allegations against her have been proven in a court of law.

Kawartha Lakes police said they expect to lay more charges in this case.

As a result of the death, Ontario's Special Investigations Unit came in to review the shooting. Its mandate is invoked whenever someone dies or suffers serious injury as a result of contact with police in the province.

On Friday, the SIU said it determined a bullet from a police handgun caused at least one of Calderwood's wounds.

It said six Kawartha Lakes officers and two from Peterborough have been designated witness officers, while four Peterborough officers have been designated as subjects.

The SIU also identified the dead suspect -- Corey Aaron Armstrong, 21, of Morningside Avenue in Toronto.

A viewing for Armstrong will be held starting 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home at 4115 Lawrence Ave. E.

His funeral will be held there at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
