Remembrance Day is not a statutory holiday in Ontario, but some businesses are closed or observing irregular hours to mark the occasion.

- Toronto Public Library branches
- Tourist attractions, including the CN Tower and the Toronto Zoo
- Some museums, including Fort York and the Royal Ontario Museum
- Most shopping malls
- LCBO and Beer Store locations (opening at noon)
- Grocery stores, pharmacies and convenience stores
- Parks, Forestry and Recreation programs
- Transit, though TTC vehicles will pause for two minutes at 11 a.m.
- Garbage collection
