Downtown Toronto stabbing sends 1 person to hospital

One person has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Moss Park, Toronto police say.

Officers responded to a stabbing call in the area of Dundas Street East and Pembroke Street, west of Sherbourne Street, at 9 p.m.

Police say a male victim was located with a stab wound. Toronto paramedics told CP24 that the victim was taken to the hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

Meanwhile, officers are searching for a suspect who was last seen wearing a black coat, grey sweatpants and black shoes.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are not immediately known.
