TORONTO - Environment Canada says tornado warnings and watches for several communities in northeastern Ontario are back on.

Timmins, Cochrane and Iroquois Falls were under a tornado warning this afternoon as a cluster of storms tracked across the area at 100 km/h.

Emergency Management Ontario called on people in those areas seek shelter indoors, and away from doors and windows.

Kapuskasing, Hearst, Chapleau and Gogama were under a tornado watch.

Environment Canada says there's still the potential for severe thunderstorms in the northeast this afternoon.
