Niagara Regional police said a 13-year-old boy was pulled from a pool at a Niagara Falls motel on Monday evening.
The boy drowned in the water at the A1 Motel on Lundy's Lane, according to police. Officials said witnesses were unsuccessful in their attempts to resuscitate the boy.
Paramedics rushed the boy to hospital.
The boy's name has not yet been released.
