Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted in Etobicoke early Saturday morning.

According to police, the 29-year-old woman was walking in the Islington Avenue and Summitcrest Drive area, just north of Eglinton Avenue, when she was grabbed from behind, forced to the ground and sexually assaulted by a man at around 2:30 a.m.

The man fled running north on Waterford Drive following the assault, police said.

He is described as white, 20 to 25 years old, five-foot-five, with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a light-coloured winter hat with ear flaps.
