TORONTO - Supporters of boosting the minimum wage to $10 are launching a sticker campaign to put pressure on small businesses.

The campaign will give stickers to small businesses who pay employees more than the minimum $8 an hour.

The stickers will boast to customers that the small business pays employees a "living wage."

New Democrat Cheri DiNovo says that publicity is good for small businesses who would see more traffic from ethical shoppers.

Judith Andrew, with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, says most small businesses already pay their employees more than the minimum wage.

But she says the stickers might offend some small business owners who don't feel the need to advertise and don't want the province to jack up the minimum wage to $10 an hour.
