RAVENSWOOD, Ont. - Six new wind turbines will be erected in Ravenswood west of Grand Bend on the south shore of Lake Huron.

Sky Generation, which already has a handful of wind turbines on the Bruce Peninsula, says work on the new turbines will begin this month.

Once the turbines are in operation by the fall, they'll produce more than 26 million kilowatt hours of power annually.

Sky Generation's first wind turbine south of Ferndale on the Bruce Peninsula produced its first power on November, 2002.

Two new turbines were erected in 2006.
