Toronto police are looking for two suspects after shots were fired during a home invasion in the city's north end on Tuesday.

Const. Wendy Drummond said that a mother and her daughter were home when two armed suspects forced their way into an apartment on Grandravine Drive in the Sheppard Avenue West and Jane Street area just before noon.

An undisclosed amount of property was stolen from the home. Police said that no one was hurt in the invasion.

Police have not yet released a description of the suspects.

Two area schools were briefly put under lockdown as police searched for suspects.
