Toronto's annual Santa Claus Parade helped usher in the holiday spirit on Sunday, as colourful parade floats, marching bands, and dancers made their way through the city's downtown core.
The 111th parade, one of the longest of its kind, kicked off at Christie Pits and wrapped up at St. Lawrence Market.
The Toronto Raptors, the Maple Leafs, the Toronto FC all had floats but it was the Toronto Blue Jays' appearance that got many parade-goers excited.

Mayor John Tory, Police Chief Mark Saunders, and television personality Ben Mulroney were among some of the familiar faces who showed up on Sunday.

But it was likely Kris Kringle who most young children were looking forward to seeing.
