A large stretch of Queen Street East will be closed off to regular traffic Sunday afternoon for the annual Toronto Beaches Lions Easter Parade.

The parade, which begins at 2 p.m., is expected to last for approximately two hours and the procession will start at Queen Street East at Munro Park, moving west along Queen Street East to Woodbine Avenue.

Prior to the parade from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Queen Street East will be partially closed from Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road. From 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Queen Street East will be completely closed from Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road and Nursewood Road will also be closed from Queen Street East to 24 Nursewood Road.

When the parade gets underway, Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Fallingbrook Road will be closed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

From 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Woodbine Avenue from Queen Street East to Lakeshore Boulevard East and Lakeshore Boulevard East from Coxwell Avenue to Woodbine Avenue will also be closed.

TTC service will be re-routing buses during the event, which is confirmed to go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
