Late night trains between Eglinton and Finch will stop around midnight Friday and Sunday with shuttles being offered. Elsewhere, construction on the Gardiner is scheduled to continue through the weekend and will cause some closures on major routes.
TTC closures and diversions
Train service between Eglinton and Finch stations will end just after midnight on Friday and Sunday night. Shuttle buses will be offered up until 2:12 a.m. northbound and 1:16 a.m. southbound. The replacement buses will stop at Eglinton, Lawrence, York Mills, Sheppard-Yonge and Finch stations.
Lane restrictions between Carlton Street and Church Street this weekend will cause some diversions on the 506 and 306 Carlton streetcars. They will divert in both directions via College Street, Bay Street and Parliament Street.
Replacement buses will provide service on College Street, Carlton Street, Parliament Street and Gerrard Street, between McCaul Street and Broadview Avenue.
Customers must transfer between streetcars and replacement buses on College Street, between McCaul and Bay, or on Gerrard Street East, between Parliament and River.
Regular service is expected to resume early Monday morning.
Lake Shore Boulevard closures
The westbound passing line from Rees Street to Van De Water Crescent will be closed for the installation of a tunnel. The closure will run from 9:00 a.m. to midnight until Sunday.
Gardiner Expressway closures
The westbound Gardiner Expressway will be reduced to two lanes from Park Lawn Road to the Humber River. Eastbound, one lane will be closed from Parkside to Spadina.
Elsewhere, two lanes will be closed west of Spadina to east of Dufferin. One eastbound lane will be occupied between Dufferin and Parkside and another lane will be occupied westbound between Humber River and Park Lawn Road.
These closures will run continuously until Aug. 1 and is part of a long term project to repair the Gardiner.
The westbound Lake Shore Boulevard off-ramp at South Kingsway will also be closed due to construction.
One lane of traffic in each direction will be closed from the Canadian National Exhibition grounds to Grand Magazine Street likely until May.
