TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors have shipped disgrunted Turkish forward Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix for guard Leandro Barbosa and forward-centre Dwayne Jones.

The deal has been in the works for some time, as part of a complex multi-team transaction. But it ultimately came down to the Raptors and the Suns.

Turkoglu leaves Toronto after an up-and-down season, the first in a US$53-million, five-year deal.

Barbosa is a seven-year pro from Brazil who averaged 9.5 points a game last season in a campaign interrupted by injury.

Jones is a five-year NBA veteran who has averaged 1.3 points in 82 career games.
