Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 23-year-old woman wanted for her alleged involvement in the kidnapping, beating and drugging of another woman.

The charges stem from a series of events that began Nov. 2 in the city’s Pelmo Park area, the neighbourhood southwest of Highway 400 and Highway 401.

According to police, the 24-year-old victim was at home alone when a man and woman kicked in her door and forced her to a waiting car. She was assaulted before being driven to an address in downtown Toronto.

Police allege she was drugged, beaten, and held captive before being able to escape the following day.

In a release issued Friday afternoon, police announced the arrest of one suspect in connection with the case.

Toronto resident Andrew Mitchell, 24, is facing 18 charges, including two counts of forcible confinement, four counts of overcoming resistance by choking, and kidnapping.

Police also identified an outstanding suspect.

“Police believe her to be violent and dangerous,” Friday’s release said. “If located, do not approach.”

Alana Leigh St. Lewis, of Toronto, is sought on seven charges, including kidnapping, forcible confinement, and administering a noxious substance.

She is described by investigators as five-foot-two, with a medium build, and black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
