Police are asking for the public's help identifying possible suspects after two people were stabbed at an apartment building in Whitby.
Officers were called to an apartment building on White Oaks Court, in the Dundas Street and Jeffrey Street area, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Two males were found suffering from stab wounds, and were taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition, police said. Investigators have not provided the ages of the victims.
In a statement on Monday, police said the attack happened in a stairwell, and at least six male suspects were involved. A small quantity of cash was taken from one of the victims.
Police did not provide detailed descriptions of the suspects, but said five of the males were black and one was white.
Police said they do not believe it was a random attack. Anyone with more information is asked to contact police at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 1927, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
