Halton police charge Quebec man in GTA human trafficking investigation
A 36-year-old man from Quebec is facing several charges in connection with a human trafficking investigation in the Greater Toronto Area.
Last month, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) launched an investigation after learning that a woman was allegedly being trafficked by a suspect in the GTA.
They say that she was “coerced, controlled and exploited” in the sex trade by the suspect, who “benefitted financially from the exploitation.”
Huddy Conserve, 36, of Quebec, was arrested on Jan. 4 and charged with several human trafficking offenses as well as assault and fail to comply with probation order.
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
Investigators believe there may be further victims and say that the accused often uses the aliases of H Mafia and Christopher Deltor.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Scott Heyerman of HRPS’s Human Trafficking Unit, at 905-825-474, ext. 4973, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
