HALTON HILLS, Ont. - Police in Halton Region have charged a man after what they call "staggering" breathalyzer results -- more than four times the legal limit.

Police received a call at 4 p.m. Tuesday from someone reporting an erratic driver on Maple Avenue in the town of Halton Hills, Ont.

Officers found the driver and after what they say was a "brief interaction," the man was arrested for impaired driving.

They say breathalyzer readings showed the man had a blood alcohol level of about 350 or 360 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit is 80 milligrams.

A 40-year-old man from Georgetown, Ont., was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving with over 80 milligrams.
