Toronto police say they are investigating a number of alleged sexual assaults that have occurred in the Black Creek Parklands area this fall and have released a description of the suspect.

The four incidents involved women between the ages of 20 and 25 who were out walking in the park, which is near Finch Avenue West and Sentinel Road.

A man would follow the women until they walked into a clearing. He would approach them from behind, make inappropriate sexual comments and then sexually assault them, police alleged Wednesday in a news release.

The suspect would then return to the woods, they said.

All the alleged assaults occurred between noon and 7 p.m., police said.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • olive/tan complexion
  • 24 to 30 years of age
  • 5'8" - 5'10"
  • thin build

"He was last seen with a moustache and goatee, wearing a multi-coloured wool sweater with stripes," police said. "He is also known to ride a disheveled looking mountain bike."
