HALDIMAND COUNTY, Ont. - Police are on the hunt for a man who was dressed in an old-fashioned striped prison uniform during an alleged break and enter.
The Haldimand division of Ontario Provincial Police was called to a possible break and enter in progress in Peacock Point, Ont., Friday night.
A homeowner at the scene reported that she heard a knock on the door and after opening it, a man forced his way in.
The suspect allegedly took keys to a vehicle and forced the homeowner to get into it before he noticed he had the wrong keys and ran back inside.
The victim started honking the horn to alert neighbours who came to her aid.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
