TORONTO - Toronto police are again expanding their search area in hopes of identifying an abandoned baby girl.

It's been over a week since the infant dubbed Angelica-Leslie was found in the frigid stairwell of an outdoor parking garage. And police are no closer to identifying the child, who is believed to be about eight months old.

The Toronto Star reports police are now sending pictures and information about the child to more than 1,200 crime-fighting organizations across North America. Snapshots of the girl may also have reached Jamaica and England.

The Toronto forces' Child Exploitation Unit has been brought in to help and the clothes Angelica-Leslie was wearing when found have been sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences for analysis.

In addition, police are sending a picture of the girl to the College of Physicians and Surgeons in the hope it will be passed to thousands of doctors across the province.

Angelica-Leslie remains in the care of foster parents where Children's Aid Society officials said yesterday that she is doing well.
