Police have arrested a 29-year-old Toronto man in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

Officers say a female victim was allegedly recruited and forced into prostitution by the man over a two-week period. During that time, police say the woman was held captive by the suspect and had her money and property withheld from her.

The victim was also assaulted and threatened with bodily harm over a period of three months.

Police say Brandon Fraser, 29, is facing 10 charges including human trafficking, forcible confinement and assault.

Fraser appeared in court Thursday morning.

Police believe there may be more victims in connection with the case.
