TORONTO -- The husband of a man found dead in his Toronto home last year has been charged with murder.

Police discovered the body of 49-year-old Allan Lanteigne inside his Ossington Avenue home on March 3, 2011.

Lanteigne was found with obvious signs of trauma to his body and pronounced dead at the scene.

Toronto police Det. Tam Bui says Demitry Papasitiriou has been charged with first-degree murder. He and Lanteigne married in 2004.

Most recently, Papasitiriou had been living in Switzerland.

Bui says police have also issued a search warrant for one of Papasitiriou's business associates, Mladen (Michael) Ivezic, who is also believed to be somewhere in Europe.

"At its root, this is a domestic homicide," said Bui.
