PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- Police say a 22-year-old man and his teenage girlfriend are facing charges following a human trafficking investigation in Peterborough, Ont.
They say the investigation began late last month after they received a report that a man and a girl had coerced a Peterborough girl they knew to advertise her sexual services and then exchange them for money.
Investigators allege any money the girl made between July and August was turned over to the co-accused, who were arrested on Wednesday.
They also allege the accused man made and distributed a video containing sexual images of himself and his girlfriend to several people.
A Peterborough man is charged with trafficking in people under 18 years old, procuring under 18, possession of child pornography and several other counts.
His girlfriend is charged with trafficking in people under 18 years old, procuring under 18, and benefiting from sexual services under 18.
