A Brampton mother has been missing for nearly a month and police say they have no leads in her disappearance.

Poonam Lit, 27, was last seen on Feb. 5. She left her home at around 9 a.m. for work the same way she does every morning but her boss later called to say the woman never arrived for her 9:30 shift.

The woman's husband was in India at the time but immediately jumped on a plane home when he heard his wife had gone missing.

Manjinder Litt told CTV Toronto on Sunday that he and his wife have a loving relationship and that it is not in her character to leave without informing someone of her whereabouts.

"I am totally shocked," he said of his wife's disappearance. "Poonam, if you are listening to me, please come home. We are so worried.

The couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, married in 2005. Manjinder Litt said they have been best friends for years.

Police describe Poonam Litt as a South Asian woman who stands about 5'4". She weighs around 130 lbs and has brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair.

Authorities have posted a video of the missing woman on YouTube in hopes of getting tips from the public.

Anyone with information about the missing mother is being asked to call Peel detectives or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
