OSHAWA, Ont. - An off-duty Durham Region police officer is among dozens of suspects arrested in a months-long drug sweep in the Toronto area.

An investigation into cocaine trafficking and street-level drug sales that started in March wrapped up this morning with several searches.

Earlier this week, investigators arrested an off-duty officer at her Oshawa home.

Tara Kramp, 38, is charged with a number of offences, including drug trafficking, unsafe storage of a firearm and attempt to obstruct justice.

Police say she has been a constable with the force since 1998 and is now suspended from duty.

A list of all the accused is expected to be released next week and it's clear when the suspects will appear in court.

Police say the probe has led them to seize more than $300,000 in drugs, including cocaine, marijuana, OxyContin and steroids.

They say it has also netted five guns, six vehicles and more than $800,000 in cash.
