The Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a second tire that became dislodged from a tractor-trailer that was involved in the death of a 54-year-old Hamilton woman earlier this week.

Miroslwa Chmielewski was killed after a tire flew off a passing tractor-trailer and smashed into her vehicle on the Queen Elizabeth Way early Thursday morning.

The tire flew off a southbound truck, crossing the highway before striking the Hamilton woman's northbound Honda Civic.

Investigators have identified the driver of the truck involved but say it is too early to say whether charges would be laid.

OPP said on Saturday that their investigation has led them to believe a second tire also became dislodged and may still be in area between North Shore Boulevard in Burlington and Niagara Street in St. Catharines.

The OPP has conducted a physical and aerial search of the area and are now asking the public's assistance in locating the tire.

They are asking anyone who spots the tire to refrain from touching it and call 1-888-310-1122.
