Ontario reveals its top baby names. Here are the top 10
Ontario has revealed the most popular baby names of 2023 and one name is reigning supreme for the 15th year in a row.
The province released its annual list Wednesday, revealing that Olivia once again took the top spot on the list of girl names.
Another girl name was so popular it ended up on the list twice. Sophia and Sofia took the fifth and seventh spots, respectively. The 'f' spelling of the name was a new addition to the list.
Only one other new name that made it onto the girl's list – Mila - came in the ninth spot.
In order, the remaining top 10 names for girls in 2023 were Charlotte, Amelia, Emma, Mia, Ava, and Isla.
On the boy side, Noah took the top spot as the most popular name in Ontario for the fifth year in a row.
Liam took the second spot in 2023, followed by Theodore and Oliver.
Henry was the only new boy name to make the list this year in the 10th and final spot.
Other popular names that made the cut included Jack, Lucas, Benjamin, William, and Leo.
