Natalie Johnson is CTV Toronto’s City Hall Reporter, covering municipal politics and affairs for Toronto’s #1 Newscast.
Since May 2010, Johnson has been a member of the CTVNews team, reporting on everything from the G20 protests to the TIFF red carpet. Her primary passion is politics, and has covered municipal, provincial, and federal elections and budgets for CTV News.
Johnson has been part of the CTV News team since 2007, starting as a reporter at CTV Ottawa. She then moved to CTV's Parliamentary Bureau, field producing for CTV National News and then producing CTV’s Question Period.
In her various roles with CTV, Johnson has flown with the Snowbirds, rappelled down a skyscraper and worked at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, where she hosted a news radio show on CKCU-FM before getting her first taste of TV through an internship with CNN.
Johnson grew up in the town of Russell, ON and loves country music and running. Off-camera, she volunteers her time with organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society and Easter Seals, hosting fundraisers and telethons.
