MONTREAL - A Montreal activist charged during the G20 this summer was back in court today to contest his bail conditions.

Jaggi Singh wants the court to revoke the conditions, which include house arrest and a ban on demonstrating.

He says the restrictions are disproportionately severe for the charges against him.

Singh faces charges of conspiracy to commit mischief and conspiracy to assault and obstruct police.

He is a community organizer with the Anti-Capitalist Convergence as well as No One Is Illegal-Montreal.

There is a publication ban on the arguments and evidence presented in court.

The hearing is scheduled to continue through Thursday.

More than 300 people were charged after police conducted mass arrests during the summit. Many saw the charges against them dropped.
