WELLAND, Ont. -- Police have charged two people after they say a man was sexually assaulted and robbed in Welland, Ont.

Police say the man was sexually assaulted at a home on Saturday before being forced to withdraw cash from an ATM.

They say the incident wasn't random and the man knew the two suspects.

Dustin Madere, 32, is charged with sexual assault with a weapon, robbery, kidnapping, forcible confinement and uttering threats.

Also charged with one count of robbery is 24-year-old Shiona-Lyn Ryan.

Police say both are from Welland and are being held in custody pending a bail hearing Monday in St. Catharines.
