ORILLIA, Ont. - A 61-year-old pilot from Orillia, Ont., is in critical condition after crashing his small home-build plane.
The man was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing Tuesday night near the Orillia-Lake St. John Airport.
Provincial police Constable Peter Leon says the aircraft hit some hydro lines and crashed into some trees.
The unidentified pilot was flying a black single-engine, single-seat, home-built Midget Mustang.
Provincial police and Transportation Safety Board officials are investigating.
